Giving up.

I think I am giving up on becoming catholic due to OCIA/RCIA scheduling conflicts. I am a young mom and my son is 18 months old. I work full time. I have called 7-8 parishes near me and they all have classes and required mass at times that do not work with my family's schedule.…

Rosary before Mass

I arrived at Mass about 20 minutes early to find the laity praying the rosary out loud with one person starting the Hail Mary while the rest of the people finished it and they did this for the entirety of the time before the Priest walked out. Is this a normal practice?

Required to sign a mass attendance sheet?!

For context, I have a just turned two year old and a 3 month old. I am in the process of getting them baptized. I have struggled with regularly attending mass, and this has only increased with the stress of having two kids. My partner is non practicing and works Sundays, so if I…

Does Dobbs correlate with the Male Lonliness Epidemic?

I've been wondering about something, and I'm genuinely curious if there's research on it. There's been a lot of discussion about rising male loneliness, fewer young people dating, and declining relationship formation. But one factor I rarely see mentioned is the Dobbs decision.…

Can I just… go and confess? Is this rude?

Woke leftie here feeling convicted for some reason to go to confessional. I grew up protestant so this concept is really foreign to me. However, I wouldn’t want to give the impression that I’m “using” the priest because I’m not officially a Catholic… very much just struggling wi…

St Joseph of cupertino

I just wanted to thank Saint Joseph of Cupertino for helping me pass my tests with flying colours. I first prayed to him last year for an important national exam and passed with a good grade, surpassing my expectations. Through my prayer i had promised to make his name known and…

Serious Question

I 25F (non religious) have been seriously talking to a 24M white/Italian Roman Catholic man. When he told me his religion I was a little surprised. I don’t know too much about the religion as I’ve grown up around mainly black Christian’s. Please enlighten me

Testimony to share!! GOD IS SO GOOD!

This is long, but I'm really excited to share! About two months ago, I posted on this subreddit with deep sorrow asking how I can heal from the strained relationship I had with my muslim mother. It was leading to absolute bitterness and anger towards her. I'm still new to Cathol…

What if I go to hell?

So, I am a fellow agnostic here, I need an answer and it's, I am afraid that the true God will bring me to hell like one day when I die I might wake up to see a god, could be any god for that matter and he could look down at me and say I will go to hell. And I don't want that,…
