When official answers stop short, truth does not vanish; it becomes a discipline. Those two facts leave a painful gap: the public needs an account, while the evidence needed to establish one is missing.

That gap gives Proverbs a sharper edge. The instruction to get truth and never sell it treats truth as something we acquire and protect, not merely a verdict we announce. The missing autopsies cannot be recovered by faith, and the verse does not assign blame or give families the full explanation they deserve. It also does not make uncertainty an excuse for guessing. Easy certainty can be a way of selling truth cheaply, turning fear into a conclusion, rumor into fact, or silence into proof.
